About Dr. Phillip Atkinson
Dr. Atkinson is a Licensed Psychologist and is Board-Certified in Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. His areas of clinical specialty include evidence-based treatments for anxiety, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), depression, men’s sexual addiction, grief, and stress management.
Dr. Atkinson practices Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, and he is a member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. As a result of his prior service as a military psychologist, Dr. Atkinson also has expertise in the treatment of military Service Members, Veterans, and their families. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University in 2006, and began practicing in Vacaville in 2012.
Dr. Atkinson relies on thorough assessments to develop individually-tailored treatment plans, and his treatments combine cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy and psychodynamic therapy to facilitate growth and healing.

About Mrs. Meghan Murray
Mrs. Meghan Murray is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has spent the past 10 years aiding others in their pursuit of emotional and spiritual health. After 6 years of serving as a paraprofessional counselor, Meghan went on to complete a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and has worked at Kairos Counseling Center since 2013.
Her education and experience equip her to work with adolescents, adults and couples on a variety of mental, emotional, relational and spiritual challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem, relational challenges, life transitions, family of origin work, codependency issues and couples dynamics. Meghan prioritizes working with couples and families, and has earned special training and supervision working as an Emotionally Focused Therapist. Her unique experience in integrating both spiritual and psychological health has helped Meghan to develop a passion for treating the whole person: mind, emotions, spirit and body.
In addition to Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Meghan uses a combination of evidenced based practices and experiential therapies to aid her clients in their journey towards well-being and greater life satisfaction.

Mrs. Julie Hicks is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who worked for many years doing lay counseling in a church setting before returning to school to complete a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Julie has experience working with adults with a variety of mental, emotional, relational and spiritual issues including anxiety, depression, family and relational issues, grief, and other life challenges. She also has experience working with adolescents through school-based counseling, which has equipped her to help her teenaged clients with a wide range of challenges unique to their stage of development. When working with couples and families, Julie practices Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is a highly effective evidence-based therapy to repair relational distress.
She has a passion to provide a safe environment where her clients can share honestly and feel heard and accepted, regardless of the issues. As a Christian, Julie understands that faith plays an important part in many people’s lives, and she is very comfortable integrating faith into therapy for those clients who want that to be a focus. Julie uses a combination of evidenced based practices to aid her clients in their journey towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.

About Mr. Jeremiah Neal
Mr. Jeremiah Neal is an Associate Clinical Social Worker, and is currently working under Dr. Atkinson’s supervision to complete his hours to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Mr. Neal has 10 years of active military service and past experiences in youth ministry, which invokes his fervor to support military members and their families.
Rooted in those experiences, Jeremiah has a calling and passion to assist clients in developing a life worth living. Educated as a generalist-practitioner, Mr. Neal is equipped to collaborate with and explore a client’s concerns through various evidenced-based modalities that serve the individual needs of each client.
Jeremiah practices patience, empathy, and benevolent curiosity to explore and mine for the roots of one’s manifested struggle. Also, as a social worker, Jeremiah values the dignity and worth of everyone. Therefore, he facilitates his practice in a judgment free manner that welcomes and values any culture or ethnic background.
Victoria Davis, M.A.

About Mrs. Victoria Davis
Mrs. Victoria Davis is a registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern who works with Individuals, Couples, and Families. She received her B.A. from the University of Southern California, and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Mrs. Davis has worked in counseling for over three years, and has worked in community, school based, and private practice settings, with a range of issues and challenges. She is currently being supervised by Dr. Phillip Atkinson until she completes her hours for licensure.
Mrs. Davis has a passion for helping people to live up to their full potential both personally and interpersonally, especially as they relate to others and loved ones around them. She uses Experiential and Narrative therapies to empower client’s to explore their deepest selves to increase their self clarity and insight, and feels that understanding and loving ourselves is essential to understanding others, the world around us, creating loving relationships, and fulfilled lives.
